A blessed death – the final moments with Rasulullah (saw)

The best example for all Muslims for a desirable death, is the death of Rasulullah (saw).
With Rasulullah (saw) at his end, Sayiddinah Jibrael (as) comes and he says:

Ya Rasulullah. With me is Malaikul Maut outside. If you allow him he will come to you to do his job. If not, he will go back.”

Rasulullah (saw) said:

Ask him to come

Malaikul Maut entered and said:

Ya Rasulullah, Allah (swt) told me to say, if you want to stay in this life, you can stay as long as you like. But if you want to go back, I will do my job.

But Sayiddinah A’ishah heard him say:

No. The best companion I want.

When Malaikul Maut started to draw the blessed spirit (roh) frim him (saw) he said:

Y Malaikul Maut! Slowly! Make it light for me!

Malaikul Maut said:

Ya Rasulullah. This is the lightest. For you only! Nobody before has been this light!

Rasullah (saw) asked:

My ummah are going to suffer in the same way?

Subbhannallah, even in his last moments he was worried about his ummah. Malaikul Maut said:

Double! And more than that. Many times more than that!

Rasulullah (saw) said:

I pray that Allah would place the suffering of my ummah on me so that they will not suffer the same.
