وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰ [٩٣:٥]
And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased.
This is one example of the trust of Rasulullah (saw) in the Creator Almighty and Glorious is he.
One day the unbelievers came to Abu Talib, the uncle of Rasulullah (saw) and said:
Ya Abu Talib. Your nephew is wearing us out, making us tired. If he wants money we will make him the wealthiest of the clan. If it is women he wasnt, we will give him whomever he desires. If is power, we will make him our king. Just ask him to stop talking, or go somewhere else to talk.
Rasulullah (saw) was only talking while they appeared to have the power. But their power was useless against his (saw) words. They were helpless in the face of the truth from Allah Almighty and Glorious is He.
Abu Talib came to Muhammad and said:
Ya Muhammad, my nephew. I am very old now and really cannot support you much longer. And these people are really giving a difficult time. Please! Stop at least for a short while. Give yourself some rest. You must be weary sometimes so rest for a while and then, after that, let us just talk with these people and try to work things out.
but Muhammad replied:
By Allah, if they gave me the sun in my right hand, and the moon in my left hand, in order for me to leave off what I am saying, by Allah I will not leave it. Not until I have succeeded or Allah, Almighty and Glorious is He, takes my soul.
Remember what Allah (Almighty and Glorious is He) promised to Muhammad (saw) and quoted above.
If Allah, Almighty and Glorious is He, says He will give to you until you are satisfied, do you think you are going to ask anyone else for anything?
This should be an example for us all.
Have faith in the unseen. Have the firm belief that one day you are really going to leave this life and you are going to stand between the hands of Allah, Almighty and Glorious is He. And put this belief into practice, and you strive based on this knowledge, and match your actions to your words.
So when our time comes, and no one knows when that time will be, we will be ready.
Some people say “Insha’Allah, before I die I will make up for all of this with a true and sincere repentance. Maybe they are planning to repent but maybe they are heedless. Perhaps Allah, Almighty and Glorious is He, will seal their hearts and the heedlessness will continue until the time comes and they find themselves in the rigours of death and the chance is gone.
May Allah, Almighty and Glorious is He, protect all of us from this.
